How to measure a worn part

Measure the unworn section if you can, and tell us where the wear is. These are the numbers we’ll ask for.

What goes wrong with cheap wear parts

Three things we’ll ask about, so they don’t become your problem later.

Movement

Long plastic sections grow more than the steel carrier under them. If nothing allows for it, strips buckle or pull fasteners.

Tell usInstalled length and service temperature

Mounting

Fasteners can distort the running face. Hole style, slots and head depth matter as much as the profile.

Tell usCarrier type, fastener and hole style

Wear

Low friction alone doesn’t guarantee long life. Speed, load, abrasive dust and cleaning chemicals all change the answer.

Questions buyers ask

Can you quote from a photo?

A measured photo or sample can start the feasibility review. The quote then states exactly what it is based on, and we’ll ask for any missing dimensions first.

What tolerance can you hold?

We don’t publish a blanket figure, because it depends on material, geometry, size and how it’s measured. Mark the dimensions that matter and the quote will state how they’re checked.

Will long plastic strips move with temperature?

Yes. Long UHMWPE sections expand far more than metal, so slot style, fastener spacing and joints need to allow for it. Tell us the installed length and service temperature.

Which material should I choose?

UHMWPE is the usual start for low friction and wear. POM suits stable, precise parts. Tell us the speed, load, product contact, cleaning method and temperature, and the grade is confirmed during review.

How does delivery to Australia work?

The quote names the Incoterm and shipping cost and says who handles GST and import. Tell us your city or postcode so we can price it.

Can you sign an NDA?

Yes. Tick the NDA box on the form and we’ll sort it before technical review.

Got a drawing, or a worn part?
